Laure Pallez - Mascaret Partners

Laure Pallez joined the Mascaret group in 2024 as a Senior Partner, after an extensive professional experience overseas, in both the public and private sectors.

Laure is trained in international affairs and finance and comes from a professional background in public affairs and global trade with 20 years of experience in business development, project management, finance and controlling. In her early career she spent four years in the credit analysis department of Société Générale, a large multinational bank which saw her based in Hong Kong and Paris, and also held the role of CFO in a start-up company. She then spent five years as director for international development at the Pasteur Institute based in Shanghai, and most recently four years as economic advisor to the ambassador at the Embassy of France in Washington DC (DG Trésor – French Treasury).

All her roles have centered on global and cross-border teams and projects.  Laure advises mid-sized companies in their international expansion as well as governmental actors in their public policies evaluation.

In parallel to her professional career, Laure is involved politically, and served as an elected representative of French expatriate citizens in Shanghai, China and then Florida, USA from 2014 to 2023. Co-author of an essay on American politics published in January 2024, she regularly speaks at conferences, in the national press as well as in French and American universities. She is also a research fellow at the Jean-Jaures Foundation, a prominent think tank in France. 

Laure is an HEC, Paris graduate in international risk management and of the Johns Hopkins University (SAIS), she holds a master’s degree in management and finance from Paris Dauphine University and a research postgraduate degree from Lyon 3 University. Laure is fluent in French, English and Mandarin Chinese.
