Jean-Claude Mailly, Senior Advisor to Mascaret Partners, is a French trade unionist. Born into a militant family, he joined the Force Ouvrière (FO) movement at an early age and began his career in the civil service as an agent at the Caisse Nationale d’Assurance Maladie. He quickly climbed the union ladder, making a name for himself through his firm stance.
He became General Secretary of FO in 2004, succeeding Marc Blondel. During his fourteen years in office, Mailly distinguished himself by a strategy of independence from political parties, while leading major battles against social reforms, notably the Labor Law in 2016. His leadership was marked by landmark social struggles and national mobilizations.
Following his departure in 2018, Jean-Claude Mailly turned to consulting, joining the firm Alixio, before founding his own consulting firm, JCBC Conseil, in 2019. He also writes for Francs-Tireurs. Throughout his career, he has been recognized for his moderation and negotiating skills, while remaining faithful to Force Ouvrière values. He joins Mascaret Partners in September 2024 as Senior Advisor.
