First seminar by Ambitious Finance

Yves CENSI, Senior Partner at Mascaret (formerly Dentsu Consulting) introduced, on July 6th, the panelists called to debate within the framework of the seminar of decision makers in #Banking – #Finance – #Insurance. This seminar organized by the independent think tank Ambitious Finance by AILANCY, welcomed many talents from our partners Finance for Tomorrow, WBCSD – World Business Council for Sustainable Development, Novethic and RSEDATANEWS.

The seminar was held in several stages at the Cité Internationale Universitaire de Paris, each one addressing different aspects of sustainable economics and finance. Yves Censi chaired the very first Ambitious Finance round table, the theme of which was “Sustainable finance: between accelerating challenges for the financial sphere and cautious action by states”. He was joined by our collaborators Alexandre Malafaye – Founder of Synopia, Jean Boissinot – Secretary General of the Network for Greening the Financial System (NGFS) and Arnaud Dumas, Editor of Novethic Essentiel.

Why sustainable finance? The financial sector plays a driving role in the functioning of the economy: financial flows allow the collection of available capital held by economic agents with a capacity to #finance (generally household savings) to make it available to agents with a need. The various financial #actors can therefore actively participate in a better orientation of #capital towards the financing of investments that have a positive impact on society in the medium and long term. In other words, sustainable finance can be an interesting solution to meet the major #ecological and #economic challenges of our time!

The aftermath of the legislative election

Mascaret (formerly Dentsu Consulting) is partnering with ODOXA to bring you this month’s political barometer! Find all of our analysis of social networks in the aftermath of the legislative elections. In partnership with LCP-National Assembly, Public Senate and the #PQR.

“We are seeing a heightened interest in parliamentary oppositions”, shares Benjamin GRANGE, senior partner at Mascaret, “As expected, the presidential candidates disappear from conversations for the most part. There is a return of the parliamentary political figure who had been discreet during the presidential elections. Notably, the dynamic is confirmed with their representatives – Adrien Quatennens, Manuel Bompard or Jordan Bardella – who explode on the networks: they are asked all the questions that go with their new political weight. »

Yves CENSI, also senior partner, adds: “Will the LRs be a political key for the opposition as for the majority? Many discover the new deputies NUPES and RN, it is to the tenors LR that the media tends the microphone. The unique position of majority (or opposition) maker has not gone unnoticed by Internet users. Xavier Bertrand, Laurent Wauquiez, Eric Ciotti… are at the heart of the questions of the French about their political direction for the post-legislative period. »

Mascaret was at VivaTech!

Since this Wednesday, June 15, the Paris region has hosted the sixth edition of the Viva Technology (VivaTech) show. On this occasion, Mascaret went on site to follow the latest news around innovation and support some of its customers. This is the case of Quandela, a young start-up specializing in the manufacture of single photon sources (#quantum hardware) which has just entered into a partnership with OVHcloud, also present at this event.

Since its creation in 2016, VivaTech has become “#ThePlaceToBe”,

It is THE place where, every year, professionals, investors, companies and start-ups from the strategic sectors of technology and innovation meet. All with activities directly or indirectly linked to the main objective of this event, namely: “to show that innovation and technology play a decisive role in building a society with a positive impact, which is more sustainable and inclusive. “. Therefore, Quandela, French specialist in quantum computing, is at the #VivaTech festival to present and popularize their latest #innovations. The example with “Perceval”: software created by Quandela and which makes it possible to execute quantum algorithms by simulating an optical quantum computer. Whenela will host this open-source software in the OVH cloud to allow as many people as possible to take ownership of photonic quantum #technology.

Through this sixth edition – set up at the Parc des expositions de la Porte de Versailles, the promoters’ desire to make #Vivatech a globally influential event is increasingly confirmed. This would explain the creation this year of a brand new award, aimed at promoting the pan-African ecosystem: the #AfricaTech Awards, which reward the most innovative #startups in the sectors of #ClimateTech, #HealthTech and # FinTech in #Africa.

To barrage or not to barrage ?

Before going to vote this Sunday in the second round of the presidential elections, read our latest barometer! The big question of the moment: to faire barrage or not to faire barrage? In french, this an expression meant to designate the usual union formed around any candidate that opposes the far right. Nowadays, this union is in shamble…

Benjamin Grange and Yves Censi share their analysis of social networks with us in this ultimate Odoxa, Mascaret & L’Obs barometer:

E. Macron, leader of the election on social networks faces a rival on the rise.

“Emmanuel Macron retains a large lead on social networks, a bonus for the outgoing president supported by a strong mobilization of his supporters (Blanquer, Le Drian, Le Maire, but also Estrosi, Philippe or Sarkozy). With 12.5 million mentions and more than 50 million engagements, it largely dominates its rival. However, it benefits from the disappearance of the other “anti-system” candidates for its online communication. Hitherto stifled, it is truly re-emerging in discussion spaces and accelerating more and more: with 3 million mentions (+115% compared to the previous month) and 15 million engagements (+125%), the face- face-to-face materializes.

The orphans of the first round are torn over the definition of the “lesser evil”.

If the unfortunate candidates have now disappeared, we note an impressive peak for Jean-Luc Mélenchon the day after the election: 5 million mentions (+95%) but above all 27 million commitments (+170%). What this last figure indicates is the extraordinary activity on social networks around the Mélenchon subject, and in particular a good part of orphan voters put in the hot seat. And they are not alone: the question arises – less in terms of traffic – for other candidates and their supporters. The big question today: “Which is the lesser evil, Macron or Le Pen?” »

To faire barrage or not to faire barrage?

The refiguration of “reluctant votes” or “rejection against rejection”. On the one hand, among the top 25 of the most used hashtags over the past 30 days, we find #MacronDegage2022, #ToutsaufMacron and #MarinePrésidente facing a little #5ansdeplus pro-Macron. On the other hand, we have an impressive increase in the use of the terms “extreme right”, “racism” and “fascism”, revealing real concern among Internet users. The same goes for the Republican “dam”, which was widely mocked at the time but which is now becoming a reality: from less than 50,000 daily results on average, we have reached a peak of 250,000 mentions to date. However, on this traffic, we notice that more than 30% of the feelings are negative… A barrier difficult to mobilize and which will therefore be done reluctantly. »

Presidential election 2022 – second round: the latest opinion poll by Mascaret, Odoxa & L’Obs

On this morrow after the election, a look back at the Mascaret opinion poll of voting intentions for the second round of the 2022 presidential election! Discover our estimates in collaboration with Le Nouvel Obs and our partners at Odoxa.

It is therefore Emmanuel Macron and Marine Le Pen who will face each other on Sunday April 24, as we had estimated. We predicted 28% for the outgoing president (27.6% preliminary results) against 24% for the candidate of the Rassemblement National (23.4%). The margins of error for voting intentions are established at between plus or minus 1.4 and 3.1 points.

In the second round of the 2022 presidential election, french people would grant 54.5% of their votes to Emmanuel Macron against 45.5% to Marine le Pen.

But this lead is still just as fragile: only 41% of voters would vote for Emmanuel Macron against 34% for Marine Le Pen… the others (25% altogether) are still hesitating between these two candidates or a blank or null vote (record in sight with 15%). Game’s still on. The debate between the two rounds promises to be decisive.

In any case, in terms of sociology, two Frances will face each other. The “popular” categories (50% vs 28%) and 25-34 year olds (45%) will vote Le Pen more than Macron. Conversely, the wealthiest French (51% vs 30%) and the oldest (52% vs 22% among those over 65) will vote overwhelmingly for E. Macron rather than for Mr. Le Pen.

You can find all the figures below or on the Odoxa website.
